Wendy Osefo is facing a criminal case in Maryland, and Bravo just showed her pulling up on Stacey Rusch in a new G-Wagon she calls Psalm 91. I broke it down on Saturday’s hot-topics upload, and I’m not acting surprised, because I spilled the G-Wagon tea at Kempire After Dark Live a week before the Real Housewives of Potomac sneak peek dropped. Also on the docket: Porsha Williams telling Monae Talks that her friendship with Shamea Morton has been over for three years, and Variety reporting that Netflix has renewed A Different World for a second season. Here we go.
Not My Tea Getting Confirmed by Bravo
Here’s the thing — I told y’all. Bravo released the first few minutes of RHOP Season 11 ahead of next Sunday’s premiere. First we get the OGs, Karen, Ashley and Gizelle, ushering Karen back into the fold, and Karen is still saying her problem was the pills, not the alcohol. We have unpacked that countless times. Then Stacey meets up with Wendy, and Wendy pulls up in the G-Wagon. She has named it Psalm 91, after the scripture she says got her through this difficult time. I don’t know cars like that, so I had to Google Schmoogle it. The vertical-slat AMG grille, the red brake calipers, the dark multi-spoke wheels and the blacked-out trim point to a Mercedes-AMG G63 with the night package, not a base G550. New, most of those land between $200K and $230K before dealer markups. Used, you’re still looking at $140K to $190K. A lease typically runs $2,500 to $3,500 a month. We can’t tell if she bought it, leased it, or borrowed it, and maybe it replaced a car she was already leasing. I’m not saying she paid cash. I am saying she put it on Bravo.
“I’m not saying that you can’t live your life, but you also don’t need to post it on social media. You also don’t need to post it on this show.”
Innocent Until Proven Guilty — But the Jury Has Cable
Look, I have defended Wendy’s right to enjoy her life before, back when people were dragging her for posting trips. But she is facing serious criminal charges — 15 counts for her and, I believe, 16 for Eddie. Shout out to Teria Faison from the What Else Is Going On podcast, who was in the courtroom, because a lot of what we know comes from her: the prosecution has already pointed to the spending and the luxury. Her attorney’s answer is basically that this is the lifestyle she leads. Okay. A jury is going to decide this, and jury selection hasn’t even happened yet. And according to my sources — those of you at the live show already know — Wendy allegedly demanded through the network and production that nobody bring up her case this season. That rumor about Gizelle calling her a scammer? My sources say it was true, whether or not it makes the edit. She has children and it’s an active case, so I get it. But you signed up for a reality show. You can’t keep the case off camera and then put the car on it.
Why Would You Hand the Prosecution a Receipt?
Not me talking cars on a Saturday, but this is the part that has me looking at her like, are you taking this seriously? Nobody would have known about the G-Wagon if she hadn’t brought it on the show. From what I’ve heard, she spends the season dressed up and acting like nothing’s wrong, in a cast where nobody dresses like that. This isn’t Beverly Hills. Cast members are reportedly looking at her like, girl, you would never know. And you could see Stacey judging in that clip. She’ll ride with her and support her, but would Stacey do that? I don’t think so. I don’t think anyone with good sense would, and we used to think Wendy had good sense. Then there’s the money. There was already the $100K home renovation people side-eyed. Her Bravo check after agents, management and glam is not millions — she’s not bringing in what Kandi was. Now add lawyer’s fees. And the prosecution is watching this show. I wouldn’t be surprised if somebody stands up in Carroll County and asks what that car costs a month.
Three Years Later and We’re Still in Therapy?
Speaking of playing your position. Porsha sat down with Monae Exchange on Monae Talks — they were on the same season of Traitors — and when Monae brought up Shamea saying the breakup felt like a divorce she needed therapy for, Porsha pulled out a calendar. Last year’s reunion was almost two years ago, and the season filmed almost a year before that. “It’s been three years,” she said, so she isn’t sure how authentic that is. On set, people she doesn’t mesh with are just coworkers. I do believe Shamea misses the friendship. I just don’t understand why, after everything that has been said about Porsha’s mother and her daughter. Porsha also said she tried to stay out of everybody’s storyline this season so fans don’t get worn down by the same talk. I have to agree with her there. She’s at Paris Fashion Week, she puts Naked by Porsha north of $10 million, and she’s moving real product on TikTok — y’all keep sleeping on TikTok. I’m holding my breath on calling her the most evolved housewife again, because the last time I said it, the Simon mess dropped. So far, so good. Is the Porsha and Shamea friendship done for good, or will they play it up for Season 18? Is Wendy spending frivolously, or just living her life? Did the A Different World renewal make your week? Let me know. Here we go.
