The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 11 premieres Sunday, October 11, and Bravo has already put out enough of the first episode that some of y’all feel like you don’t need to watch it. I went through the newest clips on the channel. I could only play the audio under fair use, because Bravo flagged the video the last time I tested it. In the big one, Wendy and Stacey press Ashley about what she’s been saying about Tia’s marriage. Tia brings a vocabulary word, and Gizelle raises her hand. Here we go.
Here We Go Again With Ashley Producing
Remember when Ashley was at the Reality Rundown event and let it slip that Tia was “going through a lot”? Well, it made it to the show. In the clip, Tia tells Ashley she was taken aback by what Ashley said and wants clarity. Then she says Ashley had “an overwhelming sense of schadenfreude” on her face. Ashley asks what the word means, and Tia explains it’s when somebody takes glee in somebody else’s misfortune. I had never heard that word before, and I love it. Thank you for the new word, Tia. But the fact that Tia is using it with this group of women? They’re not going to like you just because you’re using words they don’t understand. You saw how they treated Angel last season. Still, she’s not wrong about the face. Ashley always gets this little schadenfreude face when she’s involved in some mess. Then Ashley does the dance: it’s not my tea, I was bothered by what I saw, they can speak for themselves. I get it, they have a job to do on the show. When it’s this obvious, it’s annoying. This is why people didn’t want Ashley back this season.
“Gizelle is not going to show loyalty to anyone. Not even you, Tia.”
“It’s Me” — Gizelle Said It With Her Whole Chest
So whose tea is it? Ashley says the person is closer to Tia than she is, and then Gizelle steps right up: “I’m here. It’s me.” Mind you, Gizelle and Tia are supposed to be friends. Let’s put “friends” loosely, because this is the person who came for Tia last season. Gizelle is producing a show, and she’s not going to be loyal to anybody. Somebody in the chat called her a producer’s plant at this point, and it’s so obvious that Gizelle and Ashley are there to do the producers’ and the network’s bidding. Another person in the chat said Potomac has attacked everybody’s marriage, and it’s true. Tia, it’s your turn now. Buckle up, buttercup. That’s partly why I told Angel not to come back this season, and look, I think she listened. To be fair to everybody, we don’t know what this rumor actually is yet. Is it old news or new? Was her husband supposedly caught on a dating app recently, or is this from years ago? I don’t know, and I’m not going to act like I do until the episode airs.
Divorced, Back Together and Still Pulling Up in Psalm 91
The second clip is Wendy sitting down with Stacey. Wendy says she can’t stop saying how grateful she is for her husband, ex-husband, boyfriend or “whatever you want to call him.” Stacey asks if she’s actually divorced. Wendy says yes, absolutely, she got the notification, but Eddie moved back in and they’re “a family of three” again. It’s almost like the divorce never happened. Somebody in the chat said the divorce never happened, period. No, the divorce definitely happened. I’ll be interested to see if there’s an actual marriage license, though. And yes, this is the same sit-down where she pulls up in the new G-Wagon she named Psalm 91, which I spilled at the live show before Bravo ever released it. Somebody watching on Twitch said it best: Wendy and that G-Wagon, read the room. Then Wendy invites Tia over. I think Wendy is trying extra hard to get along with her fellow Nigerian castmate this season because of how it went with Nneka. And that little kiss Wendy and Stacey do? So fake. You could see it on Stacey’s face.
Regular Robyn, Sleepy Karen, and a Shout-Out to Chanel
Now, the looks. Shout out to my girl Chanel, the stylist who has styled NeNe, Kenya Moore and Wendy back when Wendy was making her second-season transition. She also did the lead styling for that white reunion and the red one. Stacey’s confessional looks are giving, including a Clueless-inspired moment, and Karen’s Virgin Mary confessional is serving. Karen looks great, but she also looks tired in this clip. Word on the street was that Karen was very sleepy this season, and Gizelle confirmed it on the red carpet. Then there’s Regular Robyn, who is not looking so regular, though we’ll still call her that. She’s a friend this season and has already said on her podcast that she has no storyline, so stop asking. She told Cynthia Bailey she loves the friend role, and I think people will like her more because we don’t have to buy a storyline. You won’t see much of Juan, and there’s a hiccup in Robyn and Gizelle’s friendship. It’s not going to last. We’re doing a Patreon watch party Sunday, and the full premiere recap drops Monday, October 12. Do you think the rumor about Tia’s husband has any legs, or is this Potomac going after another marriage? Let me know. Here we go.
