It was only a couple of months ago that we reported on former Real Housewives of Potomac star Mia Thornton being arrested for allegedly making off with furniture from a rental in Atlanta. Well, in a recent KEMPIRE breakdown, Mia is being accused of stealing again — this time a whole woman’s body. So many of you tagged me in the back-and-forth between Mia and an Instagram model named Sophie O’Neal, who says Mia slapped her own head onto a photo of Sophie’s body. And while that mess was cooking, Bravo started filming the Real Housewives of Atlanta season 17 reunion and dropped a seating chart we have to read like a power map.
Girl, That’s Not Your Body — and the Photo Is Giving AI
Here’s the thing. Sophie O’Neal showed up in the comment section of one of Mia Thornton’s photos — Mia in a beautiful white dress with what looks like a Kelly bag, don’t get me lying about the bags — and typed it in capitals: “Please can you remove the picture of me with your head on it. Thanks.” Then we get to see the side-by-side of the original woman and Mia’s version, and the internet did the rest. Mia deleted the photo, then reposted the photo, then deleted it again, which is never the move when you’re trying to look innocent. And look, I’m not an expert at telling the difference between AI and real photos, but I’ve seen so much AI lately that even this one is giving AI to me. That’s why I keep saying it: girl, go live and show us this outfit on. Post a video, because at least in a video you can usually tell what’s real. A still photo in 2026? With everybody’s edits looking like this? Antennas up. The wildest detail is that the body she allegedly borrowed isn’t even a Black woman’s — she used a white lady. Make it make sense.
“The blueprint doesn’t need permission to recognize itself.”
Fake News, Legal Notice, My Love — Okay, Girl
It did not end there. In her version of events, Mia insisted she never needed clout because her name “carries enough weight on its own,” and then dropped the line of the week: “the blueprint doesn’t need permission to recognize itself,” kissy emoji and all. Whose blueprint? Then came the threat — “Fake news. The legal notice emailed, my love” — which is a whole lawsuit I don’t think she’s winning, and honestly I don’t know if she can afford the lawyer for it right now. The comment section was undefeated, with folks writing “girl bye, you’ve been lying” and “you photoshopped it and got caught, most of your pics look AI anyways.” Well, damn. They do. And if you watch Potomac, you know Mia is not exactly a reliable narrator when it comes to the truth. The funny part is everyone — including Tami Roman — started superimposing their own heads onto Sophie’s original photo, and Sophie has been petty enough to repost every single one. I’m in on the joke too, so tag me in your versions. At this point, we need something to laugh about, right?
Andy’s in the Middle — Now Watch Who Got the Second Seat
Let’s get into the other story, because the Real Housewives of Atlanta is filming the season 17 reunion in New York City. Andy Cohen posted from set, everybody’s guessing the reunion color is purple based on his outfit, and there’s a Scotland backdrop because next week’s episode takes the ladies overseas. Then Bravo did the most and put out two seating charts. Shout out to my sources, because I should have trusted them — 10 times out of 10 my Atlanta sources have been 100 percent. They told me over the weekend that Porsha Williams and K. Michelle were set next to Andy, but I held it, because production can change that the day of based on what’s bubbling on social media. On the first chart, Porsha sits next to Andy — Bravo is putting all their muscle, money, and PR behind her right now, and we all kind of knew that. But here’s the thing: next to Porsha is Angela Oakley, and we don’t talk enough about that second seat being a power position. Kelly sits between Shamea and K. Michelle as a buffer, and Phaedra lands on the edge of the couch — concerning, until you remember Kandi sat on that edge for years while making the most money on the cast.
Cynthia’s a “Friend Of” Sitting in a Power Seat — and I Have Grades
So where’s Cynthia Bailey? That’s where the second chart comes in. Normally a “friend of” sits at the end, but not Cynthia — she’s parked right next to Porsha, the other person the network is propping up. I told you to pay attention to that second seat. The network clearly values Cynthia, Andy loves Cynthia, and don’t be surprised you see her full-time next season — though I think she should milk this friend-of bag while she can. Some of y’all are calling her the blueprint, but let’s be honest, Marlo is the messy friend-of blueprint; Cynthia’s building a new lane. Now my grades before the rest of the season even airs: Angela gets an A, Drew an A-minus for bringing Black on this show, Pinky a solid B, Phaedra a D (she’d love that), Kelly a C-minus on a curve because there’s a lot going on, and K. Michelle a D because she’s been a big disappointment for me. Shamea? I feel like Miss Cleo, and I can predict that reunion is going to be rough — but I’ll report back after I hear from behind the scenes. So tell me, y’all: was Mia wrong for stealing that woman’s body, and did Bravo get this seating chart right? Who should have been sitting next to Andy?
