TMZ reports that Kim Zolciak’s teenage son with Kroy Biermann was arrested August 17 on alleged aggravated sodomy and aggravated sexual battery charges after a female classmate said she was assaulted in a gym family changing room. Kim told TMZ the allegations are reckless and deeply troubling, that he categorically denies them, that he voluntarily took a polygraph and passed, and that hospital testing found no male DNA. I am not here to try a 15-year-old on YouTube. Look, these are unproven allegations. The investigation is the story. The household chaos is the context, not a verdict.

The Hospital Date and the Arrest Date Are Months Apart

According to court documents TMZ says it obtained, an officer was dispatched to North Fulton Hospital on April 24, 2026, for a reported sexual assault. Police say the alleged victim — a teenage classmate — and her father said the incident happened the day before at a nearby gym. The girl said they were heading toward a co-ed sauna and had to pass through a family changing room, which is where she alleged the assault. Police later tried Kroy Sr. in mid-May; he said he would discuss it with Kim. Kroy Jr. was arrested August 17 and remains in custody. I believe Kroy still has physical custody; I haven’t seen a public update saying otherwise. The police report notes the hospital exam did not find male DNA. Here’s the thing: if the alleged incident was the day before the exam, that absence is not the slam dunk Kim is selling. We can’t prove what happened. We can say DNA isn’t a magic rewind button. I’m not saying Kroy Jr. is guilty. I’m saying the timeline is why “no DNA” is a weaker shield than it sounds on a chyron.

“The allegations being made against my son are nothing short of reckless and deeply troubling.”

Polygraphs Don’t Walk Into Court

Kim also told TMZ her son passed a lie detector. We were just talking about polygraphs on the RHOA reunion: they are usually not admissible. She pointed to the DNA line again. She claimed the alleged victim made similar allegations involving two other people — a claim TMZ notes has not been verified. False accusations can destroy people; legitimate ones deserve a real investigation. Both of those sentences can be true. Kim said she’s confident he’ll get off if it goes to court. Maybe the admissible evidence is thin. That is not the same as it didn’t happen. Please give these kids grace. I’m not completely shocked that children raised inside a public, unfinished divorce — cops at the million-dollar house, upstairs/downstairs war, court-doc accusations, new partners in the mix, Kroy allegedly photographed kissing the estranged wife of the man Kim is dating — might be crying out for help. That environment does not create a charge. It also doesn’t disappear because a polygraph operator nodded. Court docs had the parents in therapy as a condition when Kim temporarily lost custody. I don’t know if she got it back. Either way, counseling isn’t optional.

She’s 15 — Stop Saying Woman

Kim’s statement said he denies being involved with this woman. She’s a girl. If she’s the same age as a 15-year-old, the language matters. Just saying. I hope this is fully investigated and I hope for Kim and Kroy that it is not true. I also hope nobody uses a messy adult divorce as a substitute for facts. The kids have been watching two people who used to be thick as thieves become sworn enemies in public. Finances still look messy. The divorce isn’t even finalized. Cops at the house. New partners. Court-doc warfare. In all fairness, none of that is the alleged victim’s burden to carry, and none of it is a closing argument for the defense. I’m keeping an open mind because we are not in that changing room and we are not on the jury. We will continue to follow without turning a juvenile case into a reunion polygraph joke. That’s the part I will keep saying without pretending I sat in the gym.

What Do You Believe — the Polygraph or the Timeline?

Y’all, this is ugly on every side, and ugly is not a conviction. I wanted reactions because the story is shocking and because the adults have been performing chaos for years. That still isn’t a verdict on a 15-year-old, and it isn’t a scoreboard for Kim’s statement either. How do you guys feel about that? Does Kim’s statement read like a mother protecting her child, or like a headline strategy built for TMZ’s comment window? Do you trust a polygraph more than a delayed arrest, or do you trust neither until a courtroom does the work? And can we cover a juvenile arrest without turning TMZ’s unverified extra claim — similar allegations involving two other people — into a character assassination of another teenager who also cannot defend herself on a blog? Please give this family, and that girl, grace while the facts catch up. Drop it below. Empire After Dark hits The Green Room 42 on September 25. Here we go.
