We’ll Play Along, Whitney — Timing Noted

Look, at the last reunion Whitney walked off, hugged Justin, and said hearing other women’s marriage issues made her think about what they’ve been going through. I told you then she was setting up a marriage-trouble storyline for next season. Now Page Six “leaks” separate lives, and somehow we’re surprised. Just saying — the timing is very interesting. We’ll play along. I heard more Salt Lake tea I’m saving for KEMPIRE After Dark Live in New York on September 25 — in-person and livestream tickets are up — because if they keep certain cuts, the audience won’t just side-eye Angie K this season. They’ll turn. Same sympathy-distraction read I floated when her Shawn split news dropped before a rough edit. Real pain can be real and still be a storyline — Housewives taught us that years ago. We shall see what’s marriage and what’s edit insurance.

RHONY’s Trailer Is Sex and the City Cosplay With Sai Carrying the Bones

I can’t play the Bravo trailer straight through — they’ll get us — so it’s stop-and-go. Sai looks like she’s carrying the bones this season, in everything, including that aunt-as-mother-figure divorce talk. Jessel and Erin are already in it. The newbies are fighting before half of y’all know their names. Andy wants that Sex and the City walk-through-the-city fashion energy, and on Sirius XM he confirmed Martha Stewart makes several appearances — because her makeup artist is on the cast and apparently wants the full apple. Everyone wants to be a Housewife. Fine. Carol’s age-and-apple discourse is already loud; the rest of the cast is mostly thirties and forties. I’m keeping an open mind. They almost lost me last season — maybe they did by the end — and still Andy will never let you see him sweat on a reboot of a reboot. Would you let go of money?

Orange County: Same Loop, New Newbie, Jen Got Unlikable

I’m not doing a full RHOC recap, but I watched the first two episodes. Nothing new. Everyone’s talking about Tamra — she looks great — and Heather Dubrow threw a roughly $75,000 party in the premiere, which is why you can’t kick her off: she’s the only one writing those checks on camera. Jen is fishing info for Tamra about Heather, Heather tells her to stop asking, and episode two shows how hard Jen was working that bone-collector beat. She used to be likable. Katie doesn’t get more light here — that’s what she wants. The new Garcia (first name escaping me on purpose until she earns it) left a cheating husband, co-parents multiple kids, and now has a boyfriend who also cheated; Vicki already clocks the dynamic as unhealthy. How do you guys feel about Tamra and Heather? I don’t believe Heather is secretly running a Tamra smear campaign. I think she’s saying what she said to us.

London’s Lavish — and New York Still Has the Chair

Real Housewives of London is on Peacock in the U.S. now — episode one is out, not the full run yet — and I watched it back in October in the UK. These women have coin. London proper isn’t broke-Housewife energy, and the drama is messy without being life-threatening — lavish lives, mid-level chaos, the kind of franchise that rewards a rewatch. Vancouver’s on Peacock too; I haven’t watched it. Johannesburg and the Aussie franchises taught me Discovery/Peacock is where the international apples hide. I’ll test the waters on London before I burn a whole live on three hundred people asking for Orange County tea. Next big Bravo appointment is New York — that’s where I might sprinkle OC if anything actually moves. Until then: Whitney’s separate lives, Carol’s apple, Tamra’s loop — pick your poison.
